SPREADING LITERACY ONE BOOK AND A BUDDY AT A TIME
At Read With A Buddy, our mission is to nurture early literacy one book, one buddy, one child at a time. Together we are planting seeds of literacy, confidence, and love for reading, that will grow for years to come.
How It Works
We collect new and gently loved hard cover children’s books and buddies through donations and also carefully source high-quality items from local resale stores. Every book and buddy is hand selected to make sure it is clean, safe, and ready to be loved.
Then they are paired, creating a special book-and-buddy set designed to make reading both comforting and fun.
These thoughtfully matched pairs are delivered to food pantries, Headstart pre-schools, YMCA’s, and other community organizations, where they are placed directly into the hands of children who may not have books of their own.
